Who We Are

Our Gallery in Marlborough, Wiltshire offers an eclectic mix of paintings, prints, constructions, sculptures and ceramics by Modern British artists.

Katharine House, a beautiful old building (1500’s) provides the perfect backdrop to 20th Century Modern British Art, including paintings, sculptures and ceramics, which form the central feature of this eclectic collection.

This year we are celebrating over 40 years of Katharine House Gallery, established by Christopher Gange in 1985.  Since the early 1990’s Katharine House Gallery has dealt in Modern British Art, with particular emphasis on the post-war period. Painters & sculptors whose work we regularly stock include Robert Adams, Martin Bradley, Michael Canney, Geoffrey Clarke R.A., George Dannatt, Alan Davie, Roy Turner Durrant, Paul Feiler, William Gear, Roger Hilton, Paul Mount, Margaret Lovell, Breon O'Casey,  Alan Reynolds, John Wells & Frank Avray Wilson.

Katharine House has long been a centre for the arts in Marlborough. Michael and Caroline Mitchell, (Libanus Press), first established a gallery while refurbishing the building years before.
